At Moor Park, we offer an engaging maths curriculum, where children explore mathematical concepts in a fun and engaging environment. It is ambitious and allows all learners to access and maximise achievement regardless of age or stage; it helps pupils to know more, do more and remember more. From our youngest to our oldest children, our consistent approach supports them to build and develop their own enquiries, mastering a mixture of fluency and reasoning. We use a concrete, pictorial, abstract approach to fully explore concepts through reasoning, discussing and justifying before moving on. To ensure firm foundations, pupils have opportunities to develop deep understanding and make strong links between concepts.
