At Moor Park Primary School, we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children, in line with the duty placed on us by section 175 of the Education Act 2002 & Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018.
Our Safeguarding Policy sets out systems and procedures as outlined by relevant legislation and documentation including, Keeping Children Safe in Education, Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018, Safeguarding Children In Education – Safer Recruitment (2012) and the Counter Terrorism and Security Act 2015 (The ‘Prevent Duty’).
We strongly believe that all children have the right to feel safe and to be protected from physical, sexual or emotional abuse and neglect.

Operation Encompass
Moor Park Primary School is an Operation Encompass school which means that we are alerted by the police if they have visited a household where a child has witnessed domestic abuse. Information is shared as part of a multi-agency approach for the safety and wellbeing of children.
What to do if you are concerned about a child’s safety and welfare
If you think the child is at immediate risk, please contact the police on 999 without delay.
