It is a maintained Nursery for 3 and 4 year-olds. We can accommodate 26 places in each session (Morning or Afternoon). Your child automatically qualifies for a free 15 hours place the term after their 3rd birthday and generally intakes will commence at the start of Autumn, Spring and Summer terms.

Children can attend five morning sessions a week (9am – 12pm) or five afternoon session per week (12pm – 3pm)

We can also offer 30 hours free childcare to working families if they are eligible. To apply for 3 and 4 year-old extended free entitlement please visit childcarechoices.gov.uk. Once you have completed the eligibility checking system (HMRC) for the 3 and 4 year-old extended free entitlement, you will be given an Eligibility Reference Number. You will need to provide the school office with this number to confirm entitlement.

We also offer a Breakfast and Afterschool Club. Please please either pop in or call our friendly office team on 01253 353034 or email admin@moor-park.blackpool.sch.uk

Environment

At Moor Park Primary School Nursery we pride ourselves on creating a warm, welcoming and nurturing environment.

We carefully consider both our indoor and outdoor environments with the aim to inspire imagination and allow children to develop their individual characters and passions. There are opportunities to explore personal relationships and feelings, develop communication skills and support physical development. The children are also given varied experiences that develop their curiosity and expose them to the possibilities in the wider world.  We achieve this by providing engaging and inspiring open-ended activities that give children the freedom to develop their own play and learning with adults sensitively supporting, modelling and challenging children.

As well as learning through play, the children also take part in adult focused activities. These activities support some quiet time with an adult where we focus on specific skills e.g. counting, phonics or learning a specific skill.

The children are at the heart of everything we do and careful consideration is given to their interests, likes and personalities. This ensures that we provide an inclusive environment where children feel happy, safe, valued and inspired.
