At Moor Park it is our aim for all children to develop a genuine interest and curiosity in modern foreign languages, finding them engaging and enjoyable. Our curriculum is designed to allow pupils to explore French in meaningful units. Our main objective in the teaching of modern foreign languages is to promote the early development of linguistic competence and the understanding of different cultures. Children begin learning French in KS2 (Year 3), throughout KS2 the children aim to develop skills in various areas of linguistics such as: speaking, listening, writing and reading. We hope to encourage a life-long learning of languages among our pupils in order to enhance their understanding of the world.
