We have designed and made models of the Iron Man with a moving part in our Design and technology lessons.

Our models either used a slider mechanism to make his eyes change colour or a linkage mechanism to make both of his arms move.

We are learning about the Shakespeare play "The Tempest". In groups we improvised dialogue and actions to bring a scene of the play to life. We had great fun whilst learning about the play at the same time!

Today's we were visited by Christopher Columbus! He told us all about how explorers travelled the world using compasses, maps and other strange looking equipment. We got to try on some explorer kit and have a close look at some interesting artefacts.

This week the children have been learning about Chinese New Year and they have really enjoyed it!
They held their own chinese restaurant, made dragons and wrote menus for their friends.

We had lots of fun with our visitor, Howard Carter today. 

We had a fabulous day today meeting Howard Carter and finding out about the day he discovered Tutankhamen's tomb. We asked lots of interesting questions, looked at some amazing artefacts and participated in some exciting activities. We definitely learned a lot. We will be using our experiences to…
