SEND at Moor Park
'Together as a Family we Grow and Achieve'
At Moor Park, inclusion is not just a policy - it's a core value. We believe that evert child deserves the opportunity to thrive in a school environment that understands and supports their individual needs.
Our dedicated team works collaboratively to ensure that all pupils regardless of their needs, feels safe, valued and inspired to learn. We are very proud of our nurturing, warm and welcoming school community where 'Together as a Family, we Grow and Achieve'.
We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive and we are committed to ensuring that all pupils regardless of their individual challenges receive a high-quality education tailored to their unique needs.
At Moor Park Primary School all class teachers are responsible for providing a curriculum that is suitable for all pupils in the class, including those with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) with support from the SENDCo. We are committed to ensuring our curriculum complies with the Equality Act 2010 and the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014.
In order to do this, many steps are taken to support them through their learning journey. We aim to achieve this through the removal of barriers to learning and participation. Our curriculum promotes the development of the whole child as confident, resourceful and independent learners.
As a school we prioritise the support for our SEND pupils. We work closely with our Local Authority SEND Link Teacher, Educational Psychologists from Acorn Psychology and Pepper Therapy Speech and Language services. We also have strong links with the specialist schools within Synergy Trust. We follow the Blackpool Graduated Response, which is available to view through Blackpool's Local Offer (see below).
