At Moor Park children can choose to have either a school meal or a packed lunch each lunchtime.

School Meal - Our catering staff prepare a variety of cooked meals daily for children who are on school dinners. This is eaten in the dining hall nearby the kitchen. Our school promotes healthy eating and therefore there is a fresh salad bar available every day for school meal children. Our  staff encourage the children to visit the salad bar when they collect their school meal from the kitchen.

Below is our Autumn 2024 menu:

Autumn Menu

All Key Stage 1 children (Reception, Year 1, & Year 2) are entitled to a universal free school meal every day as a result of DfE funding but children can choose to be on packed lunch instead if they wish to.

Packed Lunch - Children who bring a packed lunch to school also eat in the dining hall.

As we try to encourage healthy eating, packed lunches should not contain sweets and chocolate should be limited to one small bar/biscuit. We also do not allow any products containing nuts as it can cause severe allergies to some children. Drinks are to be in an unbreakable plastic flask and we do not allow fizzy or canned drinks. We also encourage our children to drink more water so we suggest filling their drinks bottles with water rather than juice. Packed lunch boxes and drinks bottles should be labelled clearly with your child's name.

All children are supervised by our Teaching Assistants and Welfare Staff throughout lunchtime.
