In year Admissions
Parents who wish their children to join the school part way through the school year should contact the school first who will explain the application process and happily arrange an opportunity to view the school. As we are a community school, we have no set admission requirements other than we have a limit of 30 per class, if we are full the following oversubscribed criteria will apply. Should you have any questions about this, please contact Mr G Kirkpatrick on 01253 353034 who will be able to help.
The Admission Number is the number of pupils that the Local Authority can admit into each school. Priority is always given to parental preference, however, when there are more preferences than there are places available, the Authority follows its over-subscription criteria to determine which children should be allocated a place at that school.
The Authority’s over-subscription criteria gives priority to the following children:
- Looked After Children
- Medical Conditions
- Social or Welfare Reasons
For more information on this, please see the Blackpool School Admission Brochure.
