Well we have had a busy couple of weeks in 1MM. We have thoroughly enjoyed the sunny weather and made the most of it.

First we investigated capacity and have learned how to measure containers in millilitres.

Then we became geographers and discovered our school environment before going on a walk around our local area. In our local environment we discovered the Fylde Arboretum (or memory garden) and we found ponds with rare newts as well as lots of different butterflies, birds and other insects. We have learnt that there are lots of man made things in our environment but also lots of natural things too.

Finally, we used our scientific knowledge of floating and sinking to construct boats for a kego man to get across a river.

We we have also used our own outdoor area to continue our learning journey through play and discovery.
