This half term we are looking at the topic 'Under the Sea'.
The children have thoroughly enjoyed this topic so far. They 'dived' straight in wanting to find out as much as possible about lots of different sea creatures, we searched for information online and even looked through non-fiction books and found out some very interesting facts! We then looked at sorting different animals into their habitats of land, sea or both! It sparked some interesting conversation and the children were really good at justifying their answers.
They have also been very creative making Jellyfish, turtles and even boats! The reception team are very excited to continue with this topic after seeing how engaged and enthused the children are learning about life 'under the sea'. Next week we will be thinking about life as pirates and what we would do if we were one! The Reception Team
