WOW Word Building

This week the children have been engaging with lots of word building activities to ensure we can get the most out of our writing. They loved using the magnetic boards, shaving foam and rice tray for this, lots of messy fun was had.

As well as writing and reading the children have been learning all about numbers. They enjoyed daily votes in class found out that 20 children liked flowers and 7 didnt. We then looked at how we would present this information with tallies.

The Good Samaritan was our focus in RE and the children demonstrated lots of wonderful qualities when being kind to others. Kobe made lots of puddings for the class in the mud kitchen and Roxy and Sienna made a mansion for everybody to play with.

Look out for lots of exciting learning next week, the children will be going on Shape Hunts and creating Shape museums with their findings.
