The reception children have been showing off their amazing maths skills this week as we have been looking at the different ways we can represent a number. There was lots of lovely discussion about the different amounts and which numbers were bigger or smaller. Some children chose to record their thoughts with drawings and others chose to use physical resources to help them. 

We are continuing to work on our communication skills, explaining our thoughts and trying to reason however, it was a joy to see how much progress they had made already since the beginning of the year.
