Year 6 children took part in a Taste Investigation to see what type of taster they were.
These two questions were posed by the children, "What happens when I eat?" "Why do I like certain foods and not others?"
A few children from Year 6 had taken part in the Explosive Food Lectures run by the Royal Institute for Science and were especially interested in this as they had completed a demo all about sprouts.
The children were very interested in knowing what type of taster they were so they carried out a simple test to count the number of fungiform papillae on their tongues. This determined whether they were a supertaster, taster or non taster.
