Wow, what a busy week!
Year 2 have thoroughly enjoyed Science Week 2018.
We used the book ‘The Great Explorer’ by Chris Judge as a focus for all our activities. We started the week by predicting, reading and asking questions about the story, then ‘packed our kit bags’ ready for the week.
- We designed, made and tested our own boats and parachutes.
- We made hot air balloons by weaving baskets and attaching balloons.
- We researched The Northern Lights and created some beautiful watercolour art.
- We made igloos using sugar cubes and plastic cups.
- We used the globes to find the North Pole.
- We designed maps for the Ozobots.
- Some of us continued our learning at home and made posters for the Science competition.
The children were so enthusiastic and really engaged in learning.
