We've used a lot of learning skills this week during our 3D shape lessons. We've had to solve problems, work in teams and climb out of the learning pit. We needed lots of perseverance too, especially when we were trying to build shapes out of spaghetti and marshmallows.

We have been practising our athletic skills in PE this half term. We have focussed on our throwing skills and our running technique for the last two weeks. We've also been able to enjoy the beautiful weather during our lessons. Great fun!

On Wednesday we had a visit from Spellbinder and, had a lot of fun listening to stories and dancing to songs.
We had a great time on Friday. We had Goldilocks porridge for breakfast, decorated gingerbread men, tested bridges for the Billy Goats Gruff and write about what we'd like to find at the top of the beanstalk. Our costumes were fabulous too.

This afternoon we have taken part in the 'paper chain challenge'. We only had one piece of paper and hadn't to make the longest chain we could. We used lots of different ideas to try and make ours the longest.
We had a very busy week last week, we performed our Christmas aalphabet for the school and our mums and dads. We also had our Christmas party with DJ Kellett
We have been so busy this week. Yesterday we continued to learn new gymnastics skills, including a forward roll. We also used the computers to generate our calendars. Miss Morris was very proud of us for our teamwork too.
On Friday Bispham fire station visited school. We were treated to a tour of the engine and now know about all the different tools that the engine carries. We also talked about keeping safe and what to do if you discover a fire.

We've had another leafy day in 1MM. We went across to the park to look for more signs of autumn and found lots of sycamore seeds. We think the squirrels had all the acorns! We then came back to school and write factfiles about autumn.

We had a great day at the zoo learning about the different animals. We identified lots of mammals, reptiles, birds, fish and amphibians (although these were a bit tricky to find).
What a great afternoon we had! We all scored lots of points for our house teams. Congratulations to Tower team who were the overall winners. Miss Morris was very proud of everyone in her class, they all tried their best and persevered when they were finding it tricky. Well done…
